![]() The Lockup Mate is a larger improvement, both is pretty good Makes the car more responsive and I thought it a worthwhile mod. The difference in throttle response is real and varies with the setting used I have the HIKEIT throttle controller, much the same as IDrive I know I cannot explain it in correct terms or words, maybe with simple picture attached may help understand what I mean. Maybe same reason as some car have short clutch pedal movement and other very long, the feeling is different but both work. I have no idea why there would be that kind of signal level limit, maybe for smoothing acceleration. When installing iDrive or other brand, can these devices tune the signal to ECU so that basic signal is already present and when you slightly press the go pedal there is no lag. ![]() That said, is there any more thoughts about iDrive or other brands now couple of years later? Is it still iDrive I should get or some other brand?Īnd as I was reading all previous posts, it got me thinking how this thing can get rid of any lag from go pedal? What I figured out, could there be some basic signal level that act as limit to go/no go build into go pedal electronics or programmed to ECU that causes lag. I am about to get one for testing, maybe later if that does not satisfy my needs I'll get remap done and iDrive removed. Very nice (old) conversation about iDrive and others.
